Shadow Woods, with 419 homes, is one of the largest subdivision in Rochester Hills. Its development was begun in 1978. It is conveniently located with excellent schools and abundant shopping, entertainment and medical facilities nearby.
With its mature trees, large, green common areas and gracefully curving streets and boulevards, Shadow Woods is lovely. The subdivision
streets are named after Colorado ski areas (Powderhorn Ridge,
Sunlight, Keystone, Winter Park, Timberline, Snowmass, Steamboat Springs
and Hidden Valley, just to name a few). The wide variety of single family
homes range from contemporary to traditional.
Shadow Woods offers five separate
entrances and three parks/common areas for the enjoyment of its residents.
Our parks include:
Keystone Park, which features a wooded nature trail
Winter Park, which features a popular sledding hill
Timberline Park
Shadow Woods' governing body is its volunteer Board of Directors. Board members are elected by the residents of the subdivision and serve three-year terms.
In accordance with the subdivision By-Laws, an Annual Report reflecting the status of the subdivision's finances and general business is mailed to each resident every October. Here is a link to the most current Annual Report. The subdivision's Annual Meeting, to which all residents are invited, is held each November with the actual date being announced in the mailed Annual Report and on this website.
